To celebrate this legacy, we created Here Comes the Hannaford Man—a book that captures the company’s history, culture, and relationship with rural communities.
With in-depth interviews, thoughtful writing, tailored design and digital illustrations, we brought Hannaford’s story to life. The result is a vibrant and enduring record of a company that has been walking alongside Australian farmers for a century.

My very first project at Hyphen was illustrating the chapter openers for Hannaford’s book. I adopted the style of illustrations found in old ads pulled from their archives. There was a lot of tracing and hand cramps, and the results are totally worth it!
