The Thomas Cook Boot and Clothing Company has been part of Australia’s fabric (pun intended!) for generations. A family business built on hard work, authenticity, and style, Murray Cook puts it best: ‘100 years, four generations, and a shitload of boots.’ To honour that legacy, we created My Name is on the Line—a book that captures the company’s story and the spirit behind the brand.
This project was as much about storytelling as it was about craftsmanship, and is a reflection of the attention to detail that the Cook family puts into its products. The book was produced with premium details: a luxurious leather cover with a hot deboss, five-colour printing throughout, and translucent pages that add depth and elegance.
We managed every step of production, from coordinating with the printer to providing samples and proofs, ensuring the final book was as enduring as the Thomas Cook name itself.
Design and production were inseparable from the start. As cover concepts were presented, tables filled with fabric swatches, leather samples, Pantone guides, foils, and box prototypes. Every decision was collaborative. Choosing a material sometimes meant reworking the design, but that give-and-take always brought us closer to the right solution.
