In typical family business style, Kennards is loud and proud when it comes to acknowledging the people behind the business. Having celebrated its 75th anniversary with a coffee-table book in 2023, the team felt 2026 was the year to honour their beloved Prue Kennard.
The installation is a collection of short passages, quotes, statistics and photographs that showcase Prue’s generous contributions over the years – both to her family and to the broader community.
Intentionally designed with layers to reflect the many layers of Prue herself – friend, philanthropist, wife, mother, grandmother, adventurer – the wall consists of eight acrylic panels, six 3-dimensional words, seventeen picture frames and more than seven metres of printed wallpaper. Hats off to the team at Platinum Signs for bringing it to life.
What an incredible work of art! How creative and professional! It was quite a shock to see myself across 3 metres of wall, but I do know this is a wall of love, generosity and heartfelt thoughts of all who contributed. Thank you for all your hard work.
