ACE—Advanced Civil Engineering—has spent over four decades shaping the Northern Territory through civil works, bridge construction, marine projects and mining support. Founded in 1980 by Keith Aitken, ACE has grown into a trusted engineering firm with a legacy built on vision, grit and connection to the Territory.
The result is a richly visual, deeply human book that honours ACE’s legacy of engineering excellence, community connection, and years of building vital infrastructure across the Northern Territory.
One of the things that I love about our projects is getting out from behind a computer to visit client workplaces. That was extra special for ACE because going to Darwin and hitting the road with Keith to visit projects around the Territory is as much fun as it is super-valuable to understand the work, the people and the history of the business. Congratulations ‘Rags’, Amanda and team on the decades of success building in the Territory.
I think Dad wanted to do a book but didn’t really want to do a book because he didn’t want to be a little bit pretentious about doing a book about himself. But he’s got a story to tell.
