For seventy-five years, LGMA has been a hub for local government professionals to come together to share, learn and grow. In honour of its anniversary, LGMA and Hyphen teamed up to create a book that celebrates the thousands of individuals who have contributed to LGMA and to the Queensland communities they serve.
The warmth and sense of connection that LGMA embodies is expressed through the design of the book. Soft, light colours derived from the logo and a repeating circular pattern set the tone.
With very little in the way of brand guidelines, the design brief was open-ended for this project. I had fun taking the logo shapes and reinventing them into new shapes and patterns that communicated the light, fresh, approachable energy of LGMA.
