The story of the HSK Ward Group began in 1852, when William and Frances Ward made the bold decision to move to Melbourne. Since then, six generations have carried forward their vision, building one of Australia’s largest privately owned and operated food companies.
Our writer delved deeply into the Ward family’s rich history – interviewing family members, exploring libraries and uncovering an extensive archive of company material. The result is compelling writing that balances insight with warmth. Along the way, a few hidden gems were discovered, adding stories and images that are the texture and heart of the final book.
This beautifully crafted book celebrates HSK Ward’s past and present. Our photographer travelled across Victoria to meet family members, farmers and employees who have helped make the Ward legacy what it is today. Over two days, we captured portraits, facilities and landscapes that reflect a community built on hard work.
Having our family story written and preserved like this means so much. It’s a reminder of everything we’ve achieved together and a way to carry our legacy forward for future generations. This book will always hold a special place in our family.
